Iraq: Rosneft Bought Kurdish Oil, Trade Sources Say

Russian energy company Rosneft bought Kurdish oil for a German refinery it co-owns with BP despite Baghdad’s ban on independent oil sales by the Kurdistan Regional Government, trading sources said, World Bulletin reported June 12. The dispute between Iraq and Kurdistan escalated at the end of May when Kurdistan started selling oil out of its newly built pipeline to Turkey.
