Iraq’s Kurdistan Regional Government will continue to export oil, a spokesman for the regional government said, Shafaq News reported May 27. The region needs to sell more oil than it currently sells, the spokesman said, adding that it needs to export 400,000 to 500,000 barrels per day of oil. Turkey and Iraqi Kurdistan are trying to impose a new energy reality on Baghdad but still face enormous constraints.
