Iran: Nuclear Program Halt To Begin By January

November 29, 2013
Measures to halt the progress of Iran’s nuclear program included in the six-month agreement between Iran and the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council plus Germany will begin to be implemented in late December or early January, Iran’s envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency said Nov. 29, AFP reported. The International Atomic Energy Agency will verify Iran’s compliance on the measures, and the envoy said discussions are already underway on how to facilitate the inspections. The nuclear deal sets up negotiations between the West and Iran on a more long-term accord.
